Beacon, which typically receives annual coverage in the New York Times for its culture and art, is consistent in its support and network of art. Each year Beacon hosts one of the largest open studios, and this weekend WOMS X (Windows on Main St.) will feature 37 artists' installations at 32 businesses. A comprehensive partnering of culture, business, and public exhibit. Throughout the year one can experience Local 845 live concerts, Beacon Indie Film Festival, outdoor sculptures by Beacon 3D, 2nd Saturday's, and more. Cultural institutions like the Dia Beacon, The Howland Cultural Center, and the Beacon Theatre are additional cultural anchors with fine art, theater productions, and live concerts.
