I've branched out from Poughkeepsie- going to parks south and north of here. My primary incentive is walks with my dogs. And that's one of the reasons I've stopped going on the Walkway. It's almost impossible to take a leisurely stroll because of all the bikers who come barreling down behind flanking us on both sides without warning.

Our State parks are just beautiful... This summer my husband and I got senior passes so we can visit as many State Parks as possible.. We enjoyed going to the State Parks in Dutchess County and Northern Dutchess County.. We hope to visit many more around the Country
