Why not go for what is real? Let's go for $15 an hour by 2017. If we had been keeping up with the minimum wage since the 60s, we would be at about $17.90 minimum now. We need automatic COLAs for the minimum wage like we do in Social Security and VA pensions.

Jobs are created by demand for services and products. When you give the great middle and lower class wage earners more to spend, their demand goes up and more products and services must be created . . . and that is where more jobs are created. The great myth that raising minimum wages will lower the amount of jobs is false. Every time we raise the minimum wage the economy improves.

Arkansas minimum wage isn't $6.25, it is $7.25. I want it to go to $12 an hour next year and $15 within three years. Everyone will make more money because you will be put more bucks in the hands of those that are willing to spend it. Not only are they willing but they have to spend it to survive.
