Why are Schroetke and Landrum running against each other?
Schroetke doesn't think Landrum is doing a good job as mayor and wants to change the office for the good of all Argylekind and clean up the air, land and water pollution.
The gas fumes are getting to both of them and they forgot the other was running and thus they've apparently become stupidfied.
Landrum partnered up with Schroetke to increase the likelihood that someone in the current office would win so they could maintain and cover up the many shenanigans -- now taking wagers for "criminal"
