Living in a high tax, socialist nanny state suffocated by ever more intrusive laws is made far worse by the bitter, cold and expensive to heat winters. SoCal may be a similarly far left nanny state as well, but at least the climate there is more agreeable.
The best place to see snow in my opinion in on the weather channel from a place where 40 is "cold"!
