It always seemed like a team effort. The show worked because of all the characters together, Allan, Berta, Jake, Rose, Evelyn, Judith, Herb. It would be nice to see their efforts rewarded. If the reason to not participate is that Charlie brings poor press to the show, then maybe the entire premise of the show is inappropriate for TV.
