All credits and debits aside, there must be a few more (and more politically experienced) and cleaner candidates available to run for Mayor of NY than these two. What about Caroline Kennedy or Hillary Clinton? And, no, I'm not at all convinced that a move to Mayor from Secretary of State would be a downward move for her. Maybe it would be--considering all the conflicts in NY and how much she thrives on conflict and how little those conflicts would get the US into an international war--a better choice for the time being than any others.
Your comment is ridiculous and uncalled-for. Alec Baldwin is an intelligent and cultured person who is not above making fun of himself, not unlike Mayor Bloomberg.
He has friends in all the right places, including the performing arts in NYC, and he would be an excellent leader!

Alec is a fat, drunk, who has no morals. His looks are gone, also he is a terrible actor, money cannot buy you fame, if it does you will not succeed. Look how he talked to his own daughter on the phone a couple of years ago. And Anthony has already dug his grave.
