We took a cruise from Vancouver up the Inner Passage to Seward, Alaska, then got out and went on a caravan tour with about 5 other RVs through Alaska and the Yukon. It was one of the most scenic, beautiful, enjoyable trips I ever took in my whole life, and that's saying something.

We went to Panama and back for ten months in 2004. The first five months there were six rigs. Four rigs decided to return early so coming back there were two of us. We had meetings to decide where to go and how long to stay. It was mostly consensus decisions. There were problems among people but overall it was the best trip of our lives. I doubt we'd ever do a commercial caravan. We are too independent and don't want to have to move on a schedule.
