Do you think that tyre saving tactics are spoiling the qualifying show?

Forumal 1 is usually lacking in excitement, qualifying does pose an opportunity for some excitement so there does need to be a change of rules. I watched this week's race (well, the first 10mins) because of the excitement of Canada, but it proved to be what I consider a "typical" F1 race - boring. It's too much about team budgets and not entirely the drivers. A car comes up behind another, "I have DRS but he doesn't.... I'll just cruise past ...", what's the point of that?

It's not realistic, practical or fair to force all teams to use the same car (it'd end F1) so they should all have the same budget. I'd like to see some of "unknown" drivers have a few races in a Red Bull, Ferrari or McLaren, I'm sure you'd suddenly see the unknown guys be in the top 5.

In the end it is just about who crosses the line first on Sunday. Qualifying is just a part of the strategy to reach that goal and everybody tries to reach it by whatever 'legal' means.
Having tires that don't degrade was last years option and was criticized . Having tires that degrade rapidly is this years option and is also criticized. I don't get it.

I dont think it wrecks qualifying. if i driver feels as though he doesn't have the speed to get pole then he has the right to stay in the garage for a better opportunity in the race, which is what really matters, its always good to see differing strategies as it makes the racing more interesting

Qualifying has been spoiled in the last three GPs, it's really disappointing to watch for an hour, thinking the tension is building, only for the drivers to give up at the end for no obvious reason and let Vettel get yet ANOTHER pole.
