HOAs are of the devil anyway. Picayune little tinpot dictators with measuring tapes and the inability to leave other people alone. Smarmy, pusillanimous and unbearably sanctimonious about the most ridiculous things. This is monstrous and easily fixed if the HOA could pull the cork out and use common sense however they'll fight to the death over unbelievable minutiae. However they seem to have poked a sleeping dragon here. I hope they are humiliated and publicly excoriated for their uncivil behavior.

I think it is ridiculous that we have so many laws and regulations. However we do, and we as a community and citizen need to abide by them or get them changed. If we want our country back we need to get rid of about 80% of all the HOA, city, county, state and federal laws and programs. All new laws should have a probationary period say 1-7 years, with a mandatory evaluation at the end of the probationary period and a citizens vote. We make laws to solve a problem. Most laws fail at solving the original problem and often create more problems which are more destructive than the original problem they are trying to solving. These laws often need a vetting period to see what effect they have. Most of the problems we are trying to solve are often temporary problems. Its still illegal to let your Ass (Donkey) run wild on the streets. Probably a great law at one point but now is pointless and mute as the problem no longer exists.
