What should the Rays do?

They are still in the race and both the Yankees and Red Sox face certain ambiguity in terms of their rotation. I know attendance is down, and the team has adopted a rebuilding mentality, but they are managing to stay within striking distance with limited offensive substance. The Rays should, instead, trade draft picks away for some bats. They have a solid defense, and one of the best managers in the game. Prove to your fans that you are not a hoax. If you build it, they will come.

even in salary cap leagues there are bottom feeder teams. the rays will never have the fan support ot be a real winning franchise. they will always be owned by cheapskates and lack the revenue to lure in a new owner willing to spend the money necessary to win. rays need realignment to have a chance. blame your ownership group for not putting out a better product on the field and for not drafting wisely (tim beckham being most notable)

The thing that has to be done is to get rid of bud and get somebody that has a pair and turn around and make baseball equal for ALL 30 teams. How can the three evilempires (bos, nyy, philly) spend close to 200 mil while most other teams are at 100 mil or less. Right now Sunday night baseball is talking about how nice it is that the Pirates are still over 500 this late in season (since 1992). That is horrible for a team 5 games over 500 is the talk. Get rid if the evilempires. So what if there is no baseball for a year because of the union, the end result will be better over all.
