What is modern and artistic? these design! we don't live in the 70's anymore and frankly you people just don't have any idea of real architecture. I would love to see your colourful drawings of pure nonsense!

What a sad missed opportunity to create something amazing. I agree with Staples that these proposals clearly were not made to be landmark buildings that would define our downtown 100 years from now. Start again! This city deserves better. I don't necessarily think that the museum needs to rival the AGA design's flair, even something classic and understated could be incredible, but three minutes after looking at those proposals I already forget what they all look like, they are such a snooze.
After viewing all, I still prefer the "old" museum which surpasses any design so far presented. Why waste the funds on all that when we have a class act in the first place - has anyone ever heard of upgrading what we already have - the location is par none, the buildings aren't even old, and why are we such a disposable society that we need two museums ( not to mention three city halls) in my lifetime. I really think that we could channel our funds elswhere - what about all the homeless people that we should be concerned about!!!!!

All the submissions look pedestian. Underwhelmed, absolutely!!! We can do a lot better than this. Let's have a real architectural competiton. Admit an error in thinking and start once again. It's not too late to demand excellence in design.

I totally agree with David Staples on these four designs, utterly underwhelming, boring as heck, institutionalized boxes. I can not believe they can't do better then these. Please go back to the drawing board. These designs reflect the usual boxed in thinking of this Government. Ahhhh !
