I think that damn near everything from the sciences to music was initiated by black people. That includes slavery, yeah we did it first! But I don't think the music changes because other races join in. I think the profits increase exponentially when they begin to join which causes large corporations to fuck up the music.

I think it's great when something that is "black", originally, transcends race. There's this convoluted sense of elitism that creeps into the black community when other races start doing something that we originated. Non-black people will fuck up our slang, though.

One of my favorite rappers is Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park... I grew up listening to the ratchetness that was Eminem... I think when non-blacks have something to say they should be allowed to use rap to say it. If only we had something to protect us from wack niggas of all races...
