There are many social formalities that Muslims from many countries share with each other that do not infringe on Islamic adab. It is a matter of social etiquette and having good manners. Similar to the duas that are said when one is performing doing wudhu. Theses duas were never said by the Prophet ( Peace be upon him ). However, some of the earliest Salafs had initiated this practice and the cousin of the Prophet (PBUH) and Khalifa Ali Bin Abi Talib (May Allah be pleased with him) used to perform wudhu while performing dua on the different parts of his body. This has been a practice including the utterance of Juma Mubarak for centuries. It was commenced with good intention and good will. It was only recently that the Saudi based Wahhabi's adherents have been attempting to alter centuries old practices. They only adhere to what the Prophet - PBUH had done and Sahabah - RA accordingly. Nevertheless, the well known practice of calling the Iqamah and Azan in the ears of the new born child is not practiced by the Wahhabis although it is well known that the Prophet SA had called the Iqamah and Azan into the ears of his newly born grandson Al-Hasan RA when he was born. This practice is performed worldwide as a matter of primary education amongst thousands of Muslim schools under the tutelage of well known Ulemas, Shuyukh and Imams. So there are discrepancies and contradictions even amongst their teachings. I personally have been exposed to their teachings over the last 50 years and have witnessed harshness in their characters and personalities, many which are not consistent with the smallest of practices of the Sunnah. I don't share the same view, fatwa or opinion that flows from this stream of thought.
