I grew up with Star Wars, so to me anything outside of the original trilogy in its original form is a waste of time and money. I happened to watch some of it on Blu-Ray at a friend's house a few weeks back, and both of our reactions were not so much hate for Lucas but just disappointment and disdain over him continuing to tinker with the same films over and over again with "enhancements". Yes, these are his films and thus his properties, but George Lucas is like that neighbor on your block who has a nice house and nice lawn who over time starts putting in tacky shit that messes with your head, like pink flamingos and gnomes on the lawn and painting the siding in a fuchsia color. Enhancements, son! So yeah, he won't be seeing the insides of my lint-filled wallet anytime soon over these bastardized versions of his own masterpieces. Irvin Kershner was a better director anyway!
