Just as the D-Backs were sinking in the West, they acquired Hill and MacDonald. That turned the team around and away they ran. ou can look it up.

I agree with that the Cards move was a major game changer. Before the trade they had over 20 blown saves, the addition of Dotel, Scrabble and McClellan's move from starter to relief improved the bullpen astronomically. Only a few BSs since 8/1. Cards would have won the division handily if they had had an average year in blown saves.

You are forgetting about Rafael Furcal for the cardinals... Down the stretch he was HUGE and he been amazing in playoffs... Cardinals easy on this

Jackson, Scrabble, Dotel, and Patterson have all been key contributors. Plus there's the intangible addition by subtraction. Rasmus' attitude was a distraction, and the Miller-Tallet lefty tandem wasn't effective. Cards don't make this trade, they don't even sniff postseason.

Are u kidding me? Phillies would have made the playoffs without Hunter Pence! N. Morgan - Brewers

Even though I am a Phillies fan and LOVE the Pence trade, I gotta go with the Fister deal on this one. The guy is severely underrated and gives the Tigers a solid #2 which in turns strengthens their #3 and #4
