A fat tax is not the answer. Its not the food were eating its how much of it were eating. The average american eats 4000 callories a day when we should be eating 2000 a day. Also were overconsuming and not exersicing. 7 out of 10 americans don't exercise. Another factor would be the economy. Unhealthy food is cheaper than helathy food we should be lowering the price of helathy food not raising the price of unhealthy food. Plus 22% of obesity cases are due to genetics. If a womens mother is obese she is ten times more likly to be obese as well. For men with obese fathers he is six times more likly. Consider the other contributing factors to obesity. The food we eat is not the only contributing factor to obesity.
