Growing up my parents would buy them for us when we has a cold. I loved the cherry ones and ate them like candy & Mom always asked how I went thru them so fast. I can close my eyes and almost taste them just thinking about them. Thanks for the memories!

My father work ed there for years in the 50's. On Halloween he would bring home the 2 piece sample boxes and give them out as treats!!! Could you see that happening today? We're all alive to tell the tale......

When I was in Governor Clinton School in the 50's our class had a tour of the Smith Brothers factory when it was in Poughkeepsie. As a child I was amazed at the machinery and the end product of course!!
