Jim, MY IQ is 160+................and I never said I watch FOX. You inferred that because I do not agree with you, which is typical of a leftist liberal, assuming facts not in evidence. I do not watch ANY lame stream media, including FOX. There are many other sources of information available on the NET where ACCURATE information is available for those who want facts. As to your study, I can come up with 100,000 that say just the opposite. A study is only as reliable as the integrity of the researcher and can be stilted to mean whatever that researcher wants, just like everything you post.

I repeat what I stated initially, Shadow is 100% correct.

There are dozens of studies about how dumb those who watch only FOX News really are, but I'll not post them all. Here is one:

ORIGINAL POST: Fox News viewers are much more likely than others to believe false information about American politics, a new study concludes.

The study, conducted by the University of Maryland, judged how likely consumers of various news outlets and publications were to believe misinformation about a wide range of political issues. Overall, 90% of respondents said they felt they had heard false information being given to them during the 2010 election campaign. However, while consumers of just about every news outlet believed some information that was false, the study found that Fox News viewers, regardless of political information, were "significantly more likely" to believe that:

--Most economists estimate the stimulus caused job losses (12 points more likely)

--Most economists have estimated the health care law will worsen the deficit (31 points)

--The economy is getting worse (26 points)

--Most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring (30 points)

--The stimulus legislation did not include any tax cuts (14 points)

--Their own income taxes have gone up (14 points)

--The auto bailout only occurred under Obama (13 points)

--When TARP came up for a vote most Republicans opposed it (12 points)

--And that it is not clear that Obama was born in the United States (31 points)

In addition, the study said, increased viewership of Fox News led to increased belief in these false stories.

Fire Eyes, and Mussolini would have loved you. Actually I watch and listen to and read FOX, Breitbart, Beck, and CNN, and NBC as well as Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, NY Times and News Week, Christian Science Monitor, and several others. A recent poll by Farleigh Dickerson University showed that those who got their news only from Fox News were the most misinformed people in the U. S. But, you did confirm my judgment that you got your news from the FAR Right. Thank you for continuing to display your poor judgment of current affairs.

Ahh Jim typical brainwashed leftist mentality. No doubt you watch CBS, aka Communists Broadcasting Socialism; NBC, aka Now Broadcasting Communism; ABC, aka Also Broadcasting Communism; CNN, aka Communist News Network; PBS, aka Publicly Broadcasting Socialism; and no doubt listen to NPR, aka National Propaganda Radicals.

Joseph Goebbels, Adolf Hitler, and Joseph Stalin loved people like you.

And you Fire Eyes, must get your news from FOX, NewsMax, and Glenn Beck.

MEDIA BIAS. E. Shadow is 100% correct. It happens in this rag virtually every day. Information left out slants the story the way the writer wants and while it may be technically correct, it's morally and ethically propaganda. Old Joe Goebbels must be laughing gleefully in h*** at how biased lame stream media truly is. Pathetic.

  • Jim Smith - 9 years ago

Those who think that there is media bias, believe that because some of the media don't agree with their own biases.

Definitely big campaign contributions. I've read where just the Koch brothers alone are prepared to spend close to ONE BILLION DOLLARS on the 2016 presidential race.

Our country, our democracy, is being auctioned off to the highest bidders, thanks to Citizens United.
