It is necessary for me to use snowshoes in my line of work. I cannot be slowed down by any amount of snow. FTB!

My parents had an old pair of snowshoes that I think my mother had gotten from her parents. I used them occasionally (in the 1960s and they were old even then) and even my parents used them when they were in their late 50s and a blizzard prevented driving to a nearby grocery store. These were wood with leather (I think) lacing. Not like the high tech ones of today. Lots of fun but not usable on all every kind of snow.
