I'm constantly reading Civil War material. All I can say it saddens me. I'm from Michigan, my dad is from Mass. my mom Virginia. I think of all the bothers,fathers and relatives that killed each other. I still think of the southern folks as my kin. Let them have their plates.
Southerners refuse to accept reality. The Civil War was 150 years ago. The Civil War flag is a reminder of a past that justified slavery. Should Germans display the Nazi swastika? It is time to move on to other issues that face America in the 21st century.
