First, I am a devoted follower of your website, and, so long as the quality of the editing and nature of the content is maintained, will remain so. As usual, as a species, we are crying out for change, yet resisting it every step of the way when it arrives. Hang in there long enough for the new to become, "the norm". Perhaps a tutorial, "Getting The Most From The New Format" highlighted at the front would help to smooth the way. Your survey will be much less predictable and yield better information if done a month or two from now.

I do prefer the old layout ~ less scrolling, faster skimming ~ but whatever it looks like, as long as the quality of the articles remains, I'll keep reading!

I, too, prefer the original format. I like digging. Rabbit holes, at Treehugger, are the best part of the internet.

The best part of the new version is that there is more text with the photo's, in many cases I don't read the article because I get more of an intro in the new version. The old version left me guessing so I would open it. I agree with Alicia's comments, I like to keep digging as well.

I'm really sorry to say this but... "the old-way" was one of the reasons why I liked the website...the ease of seen tidbits of just enough info to click on it see more which then becomes an hour of addictivly probing for more...it was awesome! This "new" way seems like a laundry list--it doesn't entice me to visit. I really hope the "old way" wins the vote.

I like the new design. It is much easier to zero in the section of interest. But whatever design you may settle upon, I just want to commend you for your great website. Thank you.
