Does it have to be turkey at Thanksgiving?
Yes! The meal isn't right without it and I love it.
It's not my favorite, but it's tradition.
I've been tempted to stray, but haven't.
I served or have been served something else a time or two, and it didn't feel right.
I play around with options all the time. Turkey is good, but not sacred.
Turkey was never part of my traditional celebration anyhow.
It's always there, but I wish it weren't.
I don't eat meat.
