I tried twitterfeed for a while but found it too inconsistent. Every so often it would randomly over ride the posting parameters I'd set up and send out 5 - 10 tweets at once, which, as I was duly informed by many, can be annoying.

thaumata: Honestly i forgot that brightkite was an invite only service sine i see lots of people using it in my twitter stream and I use it also. ;)

Also, I left off IM as an option since I thought 10 choices was enough for the poll.

Thanks to everyone who took the poll and left comments!

I occasionally use Facebook and TwitterIM as well (on the "other" category).

I realize that there are dozens of twitter apps and it's not efficient to list them all here. (http://twitter.pbwiki.com/Apps) But why list something like brightkite as an option when it's still an invite only service? That seems incredibly buzz-word-ish to me.

When I'm out and about, I use this app my buddy wrote which updates Facebook and Twitter from my Dodgeball RSS feed. http://apps.facebook.com/tweetdodge/

But normally I use OutTwit: http://www.techhit.com/OutTwit/

Twirl always crashes and Alert Thiny is waaaay too slow. I prefer Ping.FM so I can hit some or all of my social networks

Despite everyone else loving Twitterific, I've preferred (not on your list) TwitterPost.app: http://www.maurymccown.com/index.php/software/twitterpost/

I put together this poll so that we could have a better understanding of the way people interact with twitter and how they use it. Since twitter rarely shares stats this was a way to get a statistically significant sampling. Thanks for taking the time and please retweet. http://poll.fm/c5m6/
