Meeting Natalie in Rome in the mid '60's - she was the most delicate, tiny boned beauty with enormous haunted dark eyes...she seemed like a vulnerable, delicate little bird, and was a quite frightened of the attention she was receiving from passers-by . I am pondering which actress today has this quality today. She had no toughness about her and seemed to need protecting. It would not be easy to cast this role.
