Look, LSU and Alabama were tied at the end of regulation time in a low score game; obviously, they are No. 1 and No. 2, in either direction. What their game did was show how ridiculous the method to settle a tie is; let them play by full quarters until one team wins.
The way ties are settled now requires a completely different mindset than what the players have been doing for the previous three hours!
Additionally, everyone is assuming that LSU will beat Georgia, a team that lost its first two games, but has now won eight straight. If Georgia beats LSU, then how about them Dawgs versus Alabama for the National Championship. Of course, if Oklahoma State beats OU, they are still in the hunt. And so is Arkansas if they win their next game. Could it be that most of the country does not want to see two Southeastern Conference teams play for the National Championship?

If I was a LSU fan, I would not want a rematch with Alabama either. Bring the rough and tuff Cougars on.

Actually, this season is a great example of where the BCS would do so much better than a conferance based playoff system.... I'm wait to see all the BCS nay-sayer get passed the pissing and moaning about how bad the BCS will do in it's selections this year and put forward a plan that would better.

the bcs is a joke the best way to have a real winner is a play off you think letting a few votes and computer ranking and the big money schools with 2 loses in the top 10 thats a joke
