County recreational opportunities are particularly important in these times when so many are economically stressed. Many years in business taught me that every department can find a place to cut if the have to! Hold the department heads accountable with no option but cut "X%" to balance the budget.
Good news that the parks have been "saved" (for now!), although it looks like some park staff will get the ax. Interesting that all the political cronies have been spared the same fate.
