I think people are tired of perpetual government increases in tax rates. Seems like politicians and civil servants know nothing of integrity, effectiveness and efficiency. Always the same answer, more debt, more taxes and less services. Any excuse to tax. Tax on tax, taxes people don't even know about.
I see the tax creep in my utilities and property taxes. Tax increases far in excess of government stated inflation. Civic, province, federal -- all just greedy.
We have all become slaves to the government. Often even the ballots are rigged, especially federal. All options, just bigger more taxing government. it isn't democracy, it is a ruse of democracy. Reality is the ballot is selected for us, we have no recall, we elect term dictators. We have no control over government, just the ruse of it.
Our democracy needs to evolve and give the people more direct democratic access to force the government back to reality.
