Did you rent an RV prior to making a decision to buy one?

Memories of camping in a 17' Holiday Rambler tongue trailer with wife 2 small children 3 & 10. That was 30 years ago. Well kids are grown and my wife Vickie & I live in our 35' Nu-Wa 'Discover America 5th Wheel as 'fulltimers' & 'Workampers'. We'll be going into our 4th year living the dream. So much to do and see. So we would highly recommend this life style for those who can make the needed life adjustments. You won't regret it.

My late husband and I rented an RV about 30 years ago for a week's vacation at South Padre Island...when you could still park on the beach. The memories stayed in my mind all these years and I knew a long time ago that I wanted to live fulltime in one. Fortunately, my current husband was of the same mind. He had RV'd with some friends at an airshow and he was sold on them 15 years ago. We finally bought ours last June and have loved every minute of being in it. Best decision we ever made!

I rented a Class C for a week's vacation and figured if I could do that, I could live in a Class A fulltime. Sure enough, I didn't get claustrophic but knew a C or B wouldn't do it for me full time! Very glad I rented to get a flavor of the lifestyle change that was to come!

We bought a used class "C", lived in it a year. Our first winter south then while we converted a bus into a motorhome. Been in the bus 17 years.

Didn't rent at all. Actually bought the first RV we seriously checked out. Not what I would recommend to folks but worked for us and we have been very happy with the rig.
