its frustrating to see so many negative comments directed to a player whom up until this year, has been easily our best player the last five to six years.i watch all the games and in previous years when hemsky was out of the lineup our offence was pretty much none existent.we could hardly carry the puck in to the opposition's zone and the power play was even worse without him.poeple like to constantly critisize his goal production but hemsky's never been a goal scorer.he's a playmaker.he makes other players around him better.if he endsup with sixty five assist on the year than who cares if he might only have ten to twenty goals!in my opinion this organization has made a lot of mistakes over the years.horcoff at six million a year is just crazy.he a descent player on your third or fourth line but thats it.letting curtis glencross, eric cole and kyle brodziac go were major mistakes.they bring in a bunch of veteran players this year who exept for andy sutton and smyth have been horrible.why not give some of the other kids in the farm system a shot.enough with the goon era.can't stand watching players who can hardly play the game. i saw our gm say in an interview this year that this team wasn't ready to go out and get a good six to seven million dollar ufa and i couldn't disagree more.i think a good ufa with the good young players that this team has today would have pushed them in to the playoffs.its not when the kids are all going to be cashing in that we'll be able to bring in good ufa's.anyway, hemsky is not the problem on this team and getting rid of him would be a mistake!!!!!!
