Eric Van Luster has been pretty hopeless as a writer of the Bourne series. The lasted book they actually put ROBERT LUNDRUM in huge letters on the cover and in smaller writing they put series Jason Bourne. Eric's name appears at the bottom in small letter.
The reviews of his book have been terrible, why they allow him to write the Bourse series is beyond me.
I was excited when I heard the news that Matt Damon was to play the father of 11 year old Jason Steed in the first Jason Steed film (A young version of Jason Bourne).

I agree with Dick, adding another character, referencing back to Jason Bourne is the only way they could have gone. Jason was truly one of a kind. I've read all the "post" Ludlum's Jason Bourne, written by Dric Van Lustbader, enjoying them all. Very glad to see more of this series and from the trailer, Jeremy Renner is definitely pulling it off, big time!

the most important thing was done, a new actor wasn't taking over as Jason Bourne. A new character was the way to go, hopefully for several movies.
