Our Mother, Planet Earth is our responsibility no matter which side of a man made artificial boundary we live in. The trees in "our" counrty generate oxygen that helps people in China breathe!!
Would we not defend or help our bio Mom is she happened to get sick while she was visiting another country??

As long as international interests are behind the proposed projects, the discussions are not about Canadians, but rather those with a vested interest in profiting, or those who may become what businesses refer to as externalities (who are a third parties that were not involved in the agreement and become third party externalities when their health and safety has been affected due to business practices.) Most corporations expect a certain degree of externalities to result from their practices, but they consider the projected externalties in relation to potential profit in such situations, and may even expect a certain number of externalities to be inevitable in some circumstances. Risk management is a department of such companies .

How else can one compete with the billion foreign subsidies for propaganda for environmemtally destructive businesses, oil companies etc. It is still a David vs. Goliath game.

This war that is going on now is not like any we have seen in the past. It is now a war for your thoughts. Not a shot shall be fired but beware what hooks your beliefs. A war being fought on all fronts now.Economics,politics,climate,environment and so on.Their hope is to divide then conquer.Divide us,inside and out. Then watch what happens.

They should be barred from receiving "foreign" money when companies and industries are treated likewise. We all know when that might happen!

Then the business would have to be blocked from foreign investers. If oil can have foriegn investers than it is only fair the enviro groups can be granted/invested by foriegn funds.
