There my youngest daughter, a gallery director, is taking us on a tour of the new Whitney museum after a stroll on the Hi Line with its panoramas, art venues, and scattered gardens. I am especially anxious to see the "America is Hard to See" exhibit with its sweep of US art history which appeals to my fascination with America's past.
