Many years ago while working for a company reevaluating homes in Putnam County, I visited a residence in Mahopac. I had met the family before and was not a total stranger and was ushered into the home when all of a sudden a little white "puff ball" of a dog jumped up at took a piece out of the palm of my hand. Naturally, my hand began to bleed rather profusely and the woman of the house screamed: "You are getting blood on my rug!' She didn't give a hoot about my wound.
I was ushered out of the residence without an apology and wound up at Putnam Hospital Center's Emergency Room.
I never returned to the home and have no idea how the family's reevaluation went!

I've never bitten a dog before.

A cat has bitten me on numerous after eating some chili at Andy's Place in Poughkeepse but never a dog. A dog knows when a man is friendly but a cat. Well, a cat is just an unfeeling creature.

Three times, three different dogs. All three times a complete surprise and unprovoked.

A dog bit my dog once while I was picking up some candy a local fireman threw from his truck. Lighting struck a tree behind my house the same instant and my wife, unbeknownst to me, filed for divorce.

Happily enough, never been bitten. Other than playfully. Plenty of dogs' aggression can be traced back to their caretakers/environment/early puppy-hood training (or lack thereof) - dogs are a lot of responsibility, and often taken on by people that are not entirely prepared, or fully aware of what Keeping a Dog entails. If you lack an understanding in body language it's easy to engage with a dog that has no intention on putting up with your shenanigans - definitely something we should all educate ourselves on more, considering how many dogs there are in the world.

My dog never bit a soul. Only hot dogs. You hold a hot dog that pooch may take your hand off. Loves a Sabrett with onions and pickle relish.

Could you clarify the question - does this include only real dogs or also imaginary dogs?

I asked the person at a dog park if his dog bites, he said "No", I went to pet the dog that was near him and it bite me. I said I thought you said your dog does not bite,
he said , " that's not my dog"....

AFTER the attack.
Owner: "Don't worry. She doesn't bite."
Me: "She does now."
