I wouldn't walk across the street for a White Castle but I would like to see a Whole Foods, a Wegman's or a Trader Joe's......preferably a Whole Foods in Hyde Park! We will never see it though because the town allows companies to own or rent buildings and keep them vacant if another supermarket is interested in locating nearby. We need competition for Stop & Shop, their prices are too high for what they have available.

I read one comment that said they like chipolte because they can get their food the way they want it. That taco bell you can't. When I go to taco bell I ask to build it my way and they do. If I want a shredded chicken taco with Pico de gallo instead of diced tomatoes they do it.
As far as places like white castle, krispy kreme, sonics, in- n - out burgers, popeyes chicken, etc. pretty sure the actual companies will not just open a restaurant themselves. You need people willing to buy a franchise. I know for instance to buy a krispy kreme franchise you need something like 1.8 million. That's why you don't see them around a lot compared to Dunkin Donuts. It's on the cheap side to own a DD.
Factor in the water situation in places too.if places bake their own breads etc. and the water is crappy they won't open a location in those areas.
Oh as a side note if you like the white castle frozen burgers. Don't heat them from fozen. Thaw a pack out in the fridge. Big difference after cooking them that way.

I have had White Castle food and in my opinion it is nothing exceptional. I would rather see some good mexican or TexMex food in our area (i.e. Baja Fresh, Chipotle, etc). I would also like to have a "good" steak restaurant (i.r. Lawries, etc).

Have to either get them frozen or drive to Nanuet to get them!!!
