It is not the "cost of living" it is the "cost of labor" that is the problem. With so many people that are not working, employers don't need to increase wages to find workers... Full employment increases wages.

my raises barely covers the rise in health care premiums if I am lucky. Nothing is left of the raise to help pay bills or taxes.

My 11 cent an hour raise won't even buy me a cup of coffee at the end of the day, let alone pay the rising grocery and electric bills!!
