Yes and yes! We need only half of the senators we currently have today. Lets vote on the next election. Put it out there so the people can voice and vote as to how many senators we need for this tiny tiny island. I feel we do have a part time legislature already, most of these senators are either traveling for pleasure, or simply put, doing NOTHING!

Yes for part time legislators. Mayors should be kept as is, they are like the tribal council for their constituents on a more personal level, most importantly they can respond immediately and deal personally with village issues on a daily basis. Lastly, the people should be allowed to vote and introduce legislation on issues impacting their lifes.

Yes for a Part Time Legislature. I do want to add that the bills introduced by Brant McCreadie are nothing but political posturing. The Senator knows he does not have the votes for either bill to pass, since no senator will want to take their salaries back to $55K, which is a reduction of $30K a year. But he will use this during election time to claim that "he tried". Don't be fooled by Rory Respicio either who is playing alongside McCreadie. The two are just playing with the emotions of the people. Why didn't they support the repeal of the public law in January? Oh wait, McCreadie conveniently left the island during the vote. As for Respicio, he is the culprit who pushed for increments in the last 10 years.

Cut down the number of mayors. Why do we need 20 mayors and vice mayors for a population of 160,000 working FULL-TIME?
Having just one northern mayor and one southern mayor would save the island millions of dollars in taxpayers money.

Wow. San Nicholas, McCreadie & Wonpat are joining hands to cut even the Mayors salaries. Its over for all Senators who are attached to cutting village leaders salaries. Mayors & Vice Mayors let your families know what some Senators are attempting to do you. Do not host them in your village functions, especially during election. Work hard to vote them out for even attempting to do this to you all. Stand-up Mayors - Village leaders.

Why do we need so many Senators and Mayors on this tiny island ? It's so stoooopid ! So many Mayors yet they can't get anything done except trying to raise money or to ask for money for things they say need fixing , but never ever fixed . So many Senators yet so man problems remain and it's always the same problems year after year with no actual fix but constant promises made to fix it. Too damn stoooopid ! Thank you Gov Guam.

It feels like we have a part time legislature already. But we need a full time legislature (with a reduce budget) to address all the problems we are faced with. Just nine different ones than we have now.
