This is all about greed at the top. The kid at the fast food restaurant works just as hard as his boss. Paying someone $15 per hour reduces the boss's annual income; too bad. The "report" that many jobs will be lost if $15 is the minimum is pure propaganda.

People with collage educations are finding it hard to get a job that pays that much, why pay someone that much that in most cases does not even have a high school diploma. Wake up America

They're talking about $15/hour in New York City by 2018 and statewide by 2021. How much do you think $15/hr. will buy a consumer by 2021?

There are full-time employees who are unable to buy the necessities of life for their families. Does anyone care?

What most people don't realize that in the end it creates jobs. With more disposable income people buy more things. The cost of a $15.00 minimum wage is about .05 cents per McDonald's Whopper. Would you pay .05 more so as to insure your fellow human being is able to put food on their table, and pay for their child's breakfast?

What these so-called politicians don't realize is that everything else has to go up to compensate for the increase. They don't care. They will vote themselves a raise. We nee to change the political structure of
    New York State.

If it goes to $15 an hour abolish welfare and food stamps for all that were using them when they were making less.

If $15 an hour would help the economy why not make it $55 or better yet make it $155. What business is it of the gobment what a company pays someone? If you aren't making enough at your job.............look for one some place else.

They call it a living wage but at the same time the same politicians will tax the hell out of that $15 . anyone making $15 an hour or less should be TAX FREE from the state and federal government.

As long as govt funders for not for profits will increase the amount of contracts the same percentage then absolutely. Not for profit employees work their as*%#s off for very little pay. There is no way a fast food worker should get $15 and a person assuring the homeless are housed or a respite worker working with a child with special needs should get $12 an hour. Raise everyone to a living wage.

It should be abolished altogether and people should be paid what their job is actually worth.
