How about you leave the Double State Share ( married state employees) alone. You stop newly state employees from entering the program in 2012. So its a matter of time before DSS will be obsolete. We don't have the option to switch to our partners insurance company being we are both State of Delaware workers....

The Governor wants to give state workers a raise of 1 percent or $500, whichever is greater. OK, Define "State Worker". Will the Merit System retirees get the $500 or 1%, or just the short end of the straw one more time. The two horns of the sacred cow - education and police - get the best deal going. Even the retirement system is stacked in their favor. Not so for the Merit people. Merit employees pay for everyone's financial bumps and the politicians call it fair, just and equatable. No. come to think of it, they don't even say that. They just don't care. Merit System Retirees just do not even rate any consideration in their book.
