I was a lackluster high school student, shy and not involved in any activities. But I got the highest SAT score in the school and really found myself in college. No way I would have been accepted at Penn State based on my grades. SAT scores help determine one's potential because they measure some innate abilities. I think it is a shame that students or parents would think it is fine to not take this test.
