Do you think more needs to be done to address bullying in schools?

Bullying is wrong and we all know it. Problem is some schools inactions tends to bleed down so teachers avoid seeing it so they don't have to do anything. Students who watch bullying occur and do nothing is a problem and yes the parents of the bully shrug their shoulders and say not my kid! Bets are there are some bullying going on between the parents in a bully's home! I want to take it one more level while I'm on a role! I blame the tv/movie industry as well. How many times have we viewed a show/movie where there's a playground bullying going on? We watch it but do we ever turn to our children or grandchildren and tell them it's only pretend but it's always wrong? I'll confess on that one...no I haven't so I'm part of the subtle problem of inaction. Last point I too was bullied in Middle school/Paris Gibson and long before it was blown up in a movie. I know it changed me and not always in a good way! I protect myself as an adult by not usually being willing to back down during verbal confrontations. Sometimes even when I know I'm wrong. I guess I can attest that bullying can last a lifetime. So yes after reading the article I'm hoping the parents win their suit and that principle gets FIRED! Absolutely NO excuse for her inactions or poor actions however it needs to be said!

Quit punishing both kids equally when a bullied person gets a belly full and kicks the butt of a bully! Some times a person has to stand up for himself (or another who cant) and shouldnt be punished as severely as the punk who deserved the butt whooping.

Yes I do. I lay most of the blame on the parents of the bully. They need to get the bully help cause obliviously they have mental issues. The parents need to teach their kids to respect others. But then again....do the parents have respect for others?
