Not only confiscated, but I have also had to deal with the miserable employees of the TSA on many occasions....
For the most part, completely rotten attitudes....talk about governmental overreach......

We were taking my boyfriend at the time's mother a snowglobe that said Delaware. They also took a souvenir bottle opener from Wildwood we got that year.

Many years before 9/11, I had a magazine and 5 rounds of .380 confiscated, or more accurately 'impounded'. I was in the habit of keeping that item, the only 5 rounds of that caliber in the house, on my person during the day. At night, the magazine was inserted in the only assembled pistol in the house on my bedside table.
The magazine was held for me at a luggage delivery office until my return. Ironically, the purpose of my trip was a rifle and pistol match in U S Army competition, using far more powerful weaponry.
