By the way, this is part of what Donald Trump wrote right here on the PDN. He was the first to really commit to taking care of the territories. It’s worth reading it (and reminding him once he gets elected)! Those are his own words:

“If I am honored to earn the votes of the people of the United States, territories and commonwealths during the presidential primary process and am elected to serve, I will restore equality and fairness to all citizens, especially those that have been ignored for too long. As part of my administration, I will appoint a Territory and Commonwealth Advisory Committee, or TCAC, consisting of representatives from American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

The TCAC will be integrated into my presidential transition team, and be tasked with performing a holistic review of all federal regulations affecting the Territories and Commonwealths.

Once sworn into office, I will appoint a special assistant to the president responsible for day-to-day interaction with the territories and commonwealths. This position would be the direct connection for the Office of Insular Affairs and the citizens of the territories and commonwealths.

All Americans in the states, territories and commonwealths will need to come together to fix all that is broken. I am confident, however, that together we can make America great again.”

    That's why I'd vote Trump.

I'm afraid some of you are wrong (Islander 2 is right!). It's a point of honor for Trump do rebuilt the military and to treat well our citizens—he must do that in order to separate the wheat from the chaff. He wants no war, he wants good deals for the US, and the respect form the international community—he's just trying to talk tough to the foreign leaders. The good Chamorro people could NEVER be disassociated from Guam, and Trump is not stupid, he knows that. By the way, look at this recent headline: "Donald Trump Furious Over President Obama’s Announcement To Close U.S. Military Base In Guam."

Ted Cruz, because he supports taxing the naval exchange which is technically getting away with highway robbery by not paying their fair share of taxes on Guam like the commissary and other military vendors are. He protects the constitution and just like Sanders, he has actual plans (and his are more realistic than sanders).

Donald Trump will not only respect the military—because he will be surrounded by some of their best staff, both as advisors and in the White House Military Office—but I strongly suspect that he will also invest heavily in the defense and military infrastructure. None of the others—including and especially the Democrats—will do that.
