I have never adopted a pet but have taken in quite a few strays that I have found. Some in my neighborhood one was even from a park n ride parking lot.

Yes, adopt, don't buy!!!
We are totally, totally, pleased with our cat. It took a while, as it appeared she was abused. Now that she has learned to trust people again, she is the most loving cat ever. She gives us lots of pleasure, and is very entertaining.

I would never dream of "buying" a pet, there are way too many dogs and cats in shelters that need a good home. All of the animals that we have had (5 cats and 2 dogs are rescues) Wouldn't have it any other way. ADOPT don't SHOP!!!
