Nothing will happen. This is just a distraction from this very corrupted administration. They figure to change the dialogue from corruption, illegal raises and just poor leadership to one of political status. I sensed this the moment the governor walked into GEC with photographers. Just political distraction so don't worry indigenous Chamorro's, nothing will happen and status quo will remain until the next administration.

    Lol ! Racist Chamoron's .

A day late and a dollar short. This issue should have been addressed a long time ago. Our leaders in the past dropped the ball. They were to busy bowing to the great white father, that they forgot what was important. The chamorros are no longer the majority, but the minority. It is the non-chamorros that will determine our political status not us. Are you thinking ? what I am thinking ? If only we could turn back time.

ALL U.S. citizens should be able to vote!!!! except for MIGRANTS!!!

Shoutouts to uninformed jerkoffs. You guys have your own countries you came from that have grown into independent countries or freely associated states. Guam's native inhabitants have yet to receive that same luxury.

Stop thinking you have a say, our ancestors on Guam haven't and their descendants haven't either. You're residence is appreciated, but you are residents, not indigenous.

If you're going to deny my vote then return the taxes that I've contributed to the island. No taxation without representation.

Why are the island leaders putting so much focus on dividing the population on race? Why are people who support the indigenous vote trying to create a second class population? If there was a war with North Korea or China, do you realistically think the non-indigenous population would want to fight alongside Chamorros who have voted to exclude others due to race?
If this island really wants to progress then every effort should be concentrated on moving towards a united populace with a common goal towards progress and not racial divisiveness.

This preferred political status vote is a waste of money in that it doesn't even educate the possible consequences of one status over the other. Examples of indigenous rights over others have shown an economy that does not progress. Malaysia, Philippines, FSM, CNMI, Indonesia, etc. Guam cannot and does not have the resources to be self reliant.

Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.

All those born on Guam and of legal age should be able to vote on the fate of our island , we are Guamanians not outsiders ! For Chamorro's to think they can speak for me is insane and unfair ! Lawsuits will be filed if it turns out only Chamorro's can vote on this issue ! Thanks Gov Guam !
    Lol !! A bit racist isn't it ?
