I would appreciate it if you fixed our roads first. By the way, how are you counting all of the people who use the walk way? You are pretty much guestimating.

The Walkway over the Hudson is a HUGE tourist destination within the Hudson Valley that we ARE LUCKY TO HAVE! Making this capital improvements will only increase tourism dollars to Dutchess County and the Mid-Hudson Region. Plus if you think about all that money, how much of it is really yours? As a proud republican and New York State/ Dutchess County taxpayer I say let the Walkway flourish and grow!!

This was to be a private project not a taxpayer funded one. We were lied to about the soundness of the structure as well. The we get our vehicle tolls increased because of it now more money. Time to make those that use it pay for it NOT the vehicle owners or the taxpayers. Same goes for the rail trail.

Really?? 32 million? For a picnic pavilion, a garden, and some visitor's info (they don't say if this is a manned building or a room with tourist info brochures). As a former contractor I know this can be done far cheaper...which leads one to wonder who is getting all this padding. I love parks but I'm getting sick of the abuse of the taxpayers.
