I see this as a fear mongering poll. China has always had the ability to launch an attack to not only Guam but to everywhere else in the region if not the globe.
If such an attack would happen, I don't have enough faith in this current administration to respond in kind. They might just send a letter telling them they did a bad thing and to not do it again.

China is on a roll when it comes to being offensive. The hotspot right now is in the South China Sea or West Philippine Sea, depending on how you look at it. China has been grabbing reefs and constructing military installations regardless if the reefs are claimed by Vietnam, Brunei, Philippines , Indonesia and Taiwan. China insists that the whole area is theirs and has shown other countries, including the US, that it will intercept any intrusion into their space.
Chinese aggression is growing and they have shown that they do not respect other countries that they feel they can bully.
China has also shown that it can expand without the use of military but by economic dominance. It is currently trying to buy off developing countries with large investment opportunities in exchange for land use that benefit Chinese citizens and businesses with long term leases that call for favorable immigration policies towards Chinese companies and its citizens.
The "Guam bomb" isn't just a show of power but also shows other countries that China has the capability to challenge countries, especially the US, that China can and is willing to back up its expansion.

History repeats itself, you think? The people of guam and the island will be nothing more than collateral damaged in the big scheme of things.

I totally agree with the three respondents above, China has more to worry about if a ballistic missile strike is the option they're contemplating. I'm sure that the U.S. have ballistic missile submarines (boomers) on station throughout the Pacific Rim region ready to provide some sort of deterrence. Keep in mind that ballistic missile submarines are a threat to consider because of their stealth, nuclear power and missile threat capability they possess and China definitely knows this. Submarines are considered 1/3 of the defense triad and are a force to be reckoned with. Furthermore with the early warning and missile defense systems (Patriot Type) in place in Korea, Japan, Okinawa, Guam aside from Naval Ship-borne capabilities, Guam does have some form of defensive capability.
Mr. Cundiff was right, educate yourself on what to do in case of an attack, how to survive an attack and types of shelters to utilize. Preparation is the key to survival. And as Mr. Joerag & Mr. Strangedejim indicated you have a greater chance of getting into a car accident than being attacked by China. If you're gonna worry about China, then worry about the Soviets and N. Korea too.....

If you are worried you had better leave now! A strike at Guam is a strike at the United States and if there is a missle strike here there will be missile strikes world wide. Do you think you will be any safer on the United States mainland? Oh yeah they might not be able to every target the United States owns so only about
50 % of America will get wiped out. I bet Guam is the last to go! We already know the Army National Guard will be the first to desert!

We should never take any threat, like this, lightly. Educate yourself on what you should do should an event like this happen.

BFD... Anyone who has lived here for a while should know that as much as Guam is important to the US and to the Dept of Defense, the downside is that we are, have been, and will always be a target.

Every time I walk in the Kmart parking lot there's a possibility I will be struck by a car, but why worry about it since it's out of my control. Similarly, the PRC and the PLA can target Guam all they want; neither I, my neighbors, nor the Yew Ess Ay military can do anything about it.
