Moved here 20 years ago from Lower Merion School District (PA) - ranked 4th best academically. They had just purchased several propane buses. Soon converted whole fleet. They have never had a problem.

Seems like these districts are always trying to find ways to SPEND money. ACSD says they will have a 0% tax levy, and they could have had a minus tax levy but chose to spend it. If NYS would allow fracking, I might consider it.

Didn't that food truck that blew up in Lagrange the other day was caused by propane. I don't want my child riding on a propane bus

With all the start up costs involved it would cost a lot! Propane is great in oil states like Texas with a warmer climate.

Our taxes are so high already. I want a lot of things also. But can't just get them when ever I want. The schools just think they can spend and spend more. It's getting out of hand. Live on a budget just like we all do. It's not endless money. We are all hurting. The taxes are out of hand.

Propane, in any form, plus kids is a disastrous situation. Propane + bus + kids = NO!!! Too dangerous.
