Despite all of the negative things that non-chamorru brothers/sisters have to say, I believe that overall we indigenous people did an outstanding job as far as hosting and feeding our brothers and sisters from the participating islands. Congrats to all and a job well deserving for your hard and untiring efforts in making this FestPac a very memorable and heartfelt one. Biba Chamorru yan un rasa gui todo I islan pacifico. To all the delegations and most of all, our Guam delegation thank you for giving us a FestPac to remember. To see islands from around the pacific come together and unite as one really is spectacular. You all have done an amazing job. To Saina Frank Rabon and Saina Eileen Meno, thank you for giving my girls the opportunity to show who we are. All throughout FestPac I was a proud mother to watch them and many others perform, I was proud to tell others that my kids were a part of FestPac. It happens once every four years, and I'm glad my girls were two of the many to represent Guam as the hosting island for FestPac. For that, my girls have been able to meet and make so many friends from the different delegations. They gained knowledge and respect for the different cultures and most of all, they all returned home with memories to share for the rest of their lives..... Biba FestPac, Biba Guam!!

As A Delegate Of This Festival , It Has Been A Great Experience . There Were Rude Remarks , But We Didn't Care . We Were Doing What We Love To Do And That Is Dancing And Perpetuating Our Culture . We Have Come Together As One Whole Family . No Matter Where You Come From , You Will Always Be Family . This Festival Has Taught Me So Much . It Has Taught Me That We Have Our Differences , But We Share The Same Thing . That Main Thing Is Our Culture . Biba FestPac '

And for those of you who have nothing but negativity, what did you do to make sure that our Chamoru culture shined at this festival? Do you dance, sing, chant, sail, weave, carve or even speak Chamoru? Kao fifino Chamoru hamyo? Did you personally donate to our guest to show our customs of chenchule' and ina'famaolek? Did you practice for months past midnight to make sure that our performances reperesnted our people and our past? Did you bother to pass on any knowledge of our culture and people to our guest? Did you even experience the festival for what it's for? If you did none of those things then take a look at what's happening on Guahan before you speak negativity. Because those of us who have worked so hard for this event, we are Guahan, we are Chamoru, and we are proud. We have been here for thousands of years. We have endured hundreds of years of colonization. We have adapted, we have evolved and we are still here. "4,000 years and counting" -Ininan

Guahan did an amazing job hosting FESTPAC. So many people are so concerned about money that they forget the purpose of this festival. This festival is held every four years to share and perpetuate pacific island cultures. As host we had the opportunity to show the world the beauty of our people and our culture. So many delegates were amazed at our kindness and hospitality. The good they experienced here will be told over and over again. This festival has also opened the eyes of many in our community. We are pacific people and we are proud. Money will always come and go. Let's learn from this experience and pass it on to our future generations. The knowledge we have gained from this festival out weighs the amount of money spent. And for those who are so concerned about the amount of tourist that came or you didn't see at the festival grounds that's ok. This festival wasn't for them. This festival was for us to celebrate our Chamoru history and culture. Biba Guahan yan Biba Chamoru!

Congrats Guam for hosting an historic event ! Congrats and welcome all 27 delegates .. Never been involved in any of our Chamorro cultural heritage until I / we got involved with the Taotao Tano group with the leadership of "chief , master and sina" frank RABON ! He/they had given us the opportunity to know what it takes to learn , live and strive of our culture ! Kudos yan saludu para I grupon Taotao Tano ! Additionally , it's was a spectacular opening and closing performance done by them . that, as a full grown person , made me tear and had an explosive chills that will be remembered always !
Si yu'us ma'ase Guam , delegates , rose Ramsey , Benji Diola , fire chief SanNicolas , parents of performing arts , Taotao Tano ,all essential Gov Guam entities , Henry Sherrard and all volunteers for a suoer spectacular job ? Biba festpac 2016 , Biba Guam, and may God bless us all !

Calvo Administration will pat themselves on the back for the good job they think they did. Personally, thought it was a large flea market and sadly the Rapa Nui dance group evolved into a Chippendales show to the audiences - so much for culture.

Sad thing is that there will be no accountability. The OPA will state how much it cost, but there will be no investigations much less penalties doled out to those who misappropriated public funds for this "festival". There'll be a lot of lip service though from Mike San Nicolas, after all it's an election year!

Pack Fest is gone. The working families will have to pay $20-30 Million for this debacle. Some on the inside state $40 Million is not unrealistic !, Wait for all the fake invoices, fake time cards, kick back vendors and outright stealing, scamming, graft and greed are part of the Guam culture.

What did the working family get ? Some folks stomp, chant, beat drums and wave spears. Only Doris can help us to find the truth costs of Pack Fest.

Forget >> Cabras rebuild, GMH debt, schools, pot holes, we instead must not clean up the filth left behind by the delegates. The leased generators will go back one day and what will we do for power ? The media has been strangely quiet on Cabras. GMH is in debt and schools falling apart but we have money for a Library, Farmers Market and Pack Fest, these could weill add up to $75-125 Million, a hefty first step to rebuild Cabras ? Hasta

The countries were not charged for the huts.

    1. Guam should not charge for the pavilions at Festival Village. Many countries did not use their assigned location due to the high cost. As a result visitors missed out on information about all of the countries that came to Guam.

    2. More activities should have been held at Ypao Beach so that the tourists could easily visit the displays. I saw very few Japanese and Korean visitors at the Festival Village.
