The governor is a total idiot!

How stupid can Governor Calvo be?!

    Yes, deport foreigner criminals!

BUT ONLY AFTER THEY HAVE SERVED THEIR COMPLETE SENTENCE!

Commuting the sentences of foreigner criminals is not justice at all!

Whatever happened to "you do the crime, you do the time"?!

Now foreigners living in Guam know that if they break the law they will simply have their sentence commuted and get a free trip back home!

So there will now be an increase in crime committed by foreigners in Guam!

FOREIGNER CRIMINALS SHOULD NOT GET SPECIAL TREATMENT!

ONLY DEPORT THEM AFTER THEY HAVE SERVED THEIR FULL SENTENCE!

    @My Land
What an ignorant racist you are. You are so consumed in your deadly hatred toward Micronesians and Filipinos that you are blinded to the fact we can haul your food stamped ass into jail for propagating racism. Your post brings to my memory a saying by Albert Einstein: "Condemnation without observation is THE HEIGHT OF IGNORANCE."
Get some education, leechay!! Onomw se!!

omg!!just DEPORT all convicted immigrants..GovCalvo should DEPORT them not just send them home cus then they will be able to return one day and maybe do worse..the gov cannot deport filupibos cus he is married to one lol what a joke..as a governor he should think of Guam and the immigrants cus both factors contribute to Guam's well being..so ge should deport any immigrant that breaks the laws (serious crimes)..and as for all the Guamanians commenting saying shit about FSM citizens, just shut up cus the FSM people face the same shit with your people living in their islands..stop acting like yall too smart or cool or something..FSM has people graduating from Harvard and shit..and dint forget that yall NOT americans..yall are MICRINESIANS too..your island just belongs to USA cus yall wanted all the goodies that came along with your agreement with the USA lol so let us all sit down and let the wise talk lol but please feel free to let your voices be heard or else the stupid governor will misuse the child-support money again..yes, AGAIN lol messed up government..

First of all the Governor is overstepping his authority. The AG has stated publicly that she is not in agreement with the Governor's actions. Secondly he's not deporting them he's simply buying them a one way ticket back to their island. There is a deportation process that ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) enforces. One of the problems here is that Gov. Calvin commutes their sentence and sends them back to their island. These individuals sent back WILL NOT serve ANY prison time when they return home. Because they were not properly deported they will return back to Guam under a different name -- it has been done before.

Perhaps what needs to happen is that there needs to be a collaborative effort between GU officials and FSM officials to educate them about the laws and track the citizens coming in. I agree something has to be done but it must be done the right and proper way.

All FSM convicted criminals should be DEPORTED to serve their sentence in their own country period..

  • Julia Borja - 8 years ago

I absolutely agree with deporting convicted FSM criminals overcrowding DOC and burdening our taxpayers with the cost of housing them. However, I do not agree with the Gov. pardoning their sentences. They should be sent back to FSM to complete their sentences. This will prevent them from relocation to another US location. A study should be done regarding the impact of the Compact of Free Association in relation to crimes, accidents and the like! Guam is suffering unjustly without equal compensation through the Compact Impact Aid! Enough is enough! Respect is earned and these FSM criminals do not deserve our Hafa Adai spirit!

One more thing, Stay in the Topic! Read Carefully, get educated! The subject was about migrant convicts. If you want to remove Filipino citizens, start with your beloved Governor's wife and then his kids.

To "My land". Your so proud of your little speck on this planet. Remember it's U.S. soil now, because you gave it up without a fight in turn for food stamps to feed your family and a GovGuam to help your relatives have jobs. And other benefits that comes with it. Look around you most of your BOSS are Filipinos! In truth, we do work hard, it was your kind that hated us first, now that the Micronesians are majority of the population on this island, we get a little better treatment than before. Because now you have someone else to hate, which are the people who are painting your island RED (Pugua Spits)!

Just get all them FSM citizens who have no respect for our island and who have no self discipline out of Here. They are sucking the life out of everyone who contribute to this society.

Deport all FSM and Philipino citizens. Who are these people to come here, use our resources, and treat our people like dogs? From section 8 to these Philipino land lords and raggedy ladies turned military wives all of them laughing at the suffering of our people. Why should funds and resources go to these people. Locals should have priority. Even their kids should be deported. Regardless if they were born here. GO BACK TO WHERE YOUR GRANDMA CAME FROM.

To Rino. Rayphand who comments that deportation is not the proper inhuman way to deport migrants. Any individual who enters a US Territory/State, under the Compact Impact Act for Territories must be on board to find a job or education for knowledge and NOT a squatter. This type of individuals knew the consequences if caught and the impact as to what they leave behind. They come on board pregnant, give birth, get ALL the benefits i.e. medical, EBT, WICK etc.. thinking that the Government will not deport due to having a child born in the US soil. The fault for this to happen goes to our Senators and Congressman, we elected, to have the Compact Impact Act revised. GUAM is not a dumping ground for ALL illegal migrants without a background check applying for VISA 1 or Green Card.

Deportation of criminals is done all over the world... It puts the responsibility of the criminal rehabilitation squarely on the shoulders of the place the criminal calls home.... The fact that we need to discuss this is sad...

  • Islander 2 - 8 years ago

Deport all convicted FSM/FAS citizens ! Decrease the population in our prison system , help relieve the overcrowding and save much need public tax funds .. The results is a win win for both the public and Gov Guam .. This should have been done years ago ..

  • Concerned citizen - 8 years ago

Rino Raypand, I think you need to direct your comments to the migrants before they decide to make Guam their home. You wouldn't want your visitors to come to your home and cause trouble, would you.

  • rino.rayphand - 8 years ago

I don't think that deportation is a good idea for migrant, what will you do when the kids askin for their mom or dad and he or she the financial for the kids and the parents are alien and the kids are us and were gonna breakapart?hell no give them a chance.we all made mistake and you correct your self when you do wrong we all the same were humanbeing no one not any in the whole world are perfect.

  • Y.Man - 8 years ago

Of course ! Gov Calvo is on the right direction !
Migrants should be required to have a round trip airline ticket before they come to Guam so the Government don't have to use it's funds to return them to their home .

The drunk vagrants that should be sent back to their homes too and especially the ones that are living off the Public health and welfare system.
